Sally Hansen's No. 399, Big Teal

Image
I'm learning. I know that it has been said not to put your nail polish in the fridge, but... I remember my mom used to do that and I gave it a shot. And guess what? All the polish, even the ones I mentioned before that dried with air bubbles, went on smoothly and dried perfectly! I'm no expert, but I can tell you that it's been working for me! And clearly, I'm a Sally Hansen fan. So many colors to choose from and more often than not, half the price of the big name brands.

Sally Hansen's No. 200, Powder Room

I was sooooo wanting this incredible blush lavender color to work! I waited literally hours in-between coats (one base coat and two coats of polish) but either I have a bad bottle, or something else was happening, but as BEAUTIFUL as this color is, it showed the stroke polish lines and just got bumpy (you can really see it on my pinky and index fingers). I was in a very nicely air-conditioned house and I was so bummed. I also redid it so many times that I practically used 1/2 of the bottle. It's SUCH a pretty color, so if you've enjoyed this one and it's worked for you then maybe I just got a bad bottle. Edited to add on July 18, 2018 - It's been said not to put your polish in the fridge, but my mom used to do that and I tried it. Results? This same polish that frustrated me with the air bubbles now goes on smoothly and dries perfectly. I love this color and now I put all my polish in the fridge.

Sally Hansen's No. 880, Black Heart

My first review should be about one of my all-time favorites. Sally Hansen's BLACK HEART, #880, goes on super smooth and, if given the right amount of time in between coats, does not bubble. I love this one, and at $2.99, I would skip the biggie brands and go with this. Just make sure you put that base coat on, let it dry, then two coats with a LONG drying stage in the middle. Which is pretty much true for any nail polish, anyway. One of my favorites, hands down. I got it at a local grocery store for $2.99 but Amazon has it priced a little more - click here for the link.
